By Flight:
you can reach Srinagar International Airport in Kashmir which is located just 10 km from Srinagar. You will get direct connectivity flights to Srinagar from major cities of India and if you do not get a direct flight to Srinagar, then first you go to Delhi and from Delhi you will get a direct flight to Srinagar.
By Train:
If we talk about train then at present there is no direct train available for Srinagar but in future this facility will be available very soon. At present you can reach Jammu in 8 to 10 hours by catching Vande Bharat Express, Jhelum Express and Jammu Tawi etc. trains from Delhi. Then you can reach Srinagar in 5 to 6 hours by taking a sharing taxi for 300 to 500 rupees from Jammu.
By Road:
If we talk about road then you can reach from Delhi via National Highway 44, Jammu Srinagar Highway. You do not get Volvo directly from Delhi to Srinagar but you can reach Jammu by another bus and then you can reach Srinagar in 5/6 hours by taking a sharing taxi.
Gulmarg-(1st Day In Kashmir)
You can start the first day from Gulmarg, which is located at a distance of 50 kilometers from Srinagar and can be reached in one to one and a half hours. Gulmarg means “field of flowers”, which is a very beautiful place. Gulmarg is quite famous for its snow-capped mountains, snow adventure activities, gondola rides and drunk waterfalls. To visit Gulmarg you will have to buy snow jackets and boots, which can be found for Rs 300 or 500, as the temperature here goes below zero in winter.

In Gulmarg, you can first go to Drunk Waterfall which is located at a short distance, while going there the road will be completely covered with snow, the best time to visit Drunk Waterfall is from December to February but its beauty remains intact even in summer. The snow of Sonamarg is very white because the sunlight falling on it makes it very shiny and due to autumn it is also called Sonamark.
Iceland Street
Before reaching Sonamarg you can stop at the beach island street where there is a bridge under which the ice water flows. Here you will find food shops and greenery and it is a great place to click photos.
Thajiwas Glacier and Other Activities
After reaching Sonamarg you can ask for ATV ride from here and take a package of sledging and other adventure sports which can cost between Rs 1000 to Rs 3000. In summer you will get the option of horse riding as in summer Sonamarg becomes full lush green. Horse riding is the best option to reach Thajiwas Glacier.
